Dr Zohaib Nawaz

Dr Zohaib Nawaz is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at King Edward Medical University in 2008. After working for several years overseas, Dr Nawaz was awarded his AMC Certificate by the Australian Medical Council in 2014.

Dr Nawaz hit the ground running in Australia and immediately accepted a O & G Resident, and then O & G Registrar position at Nepean Hospital where he undertook extensive further training in both high risk pregnancy management, and advanced laparoscopic surgical skills. During this time he also undertook several rotations in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at both Westmead and Orange Hospitals. Throughout his training at Nepean Hospital he worked directly with, and was trained by A/Prof. John Pardey, Dr Luice Wang, Dr Maree Wallwork, Dr Sarah Pixton, and Dr Naman Dahiya. It was during this time that A/Prof. Pardey invited Dr Nawaz to join our Practice as a full Associate, after having been very impressed with his Medical skills, knowledge, and absolute dedication to Women’s Health. One of Dr Nawaz’s  other many skills is that he fluently speaks four languages, English (as his first language), Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi.

In 2022 Dr Nawaz accepted a Senior Staff Specialist position at Nepean hospital, where he now trains and mentors Junior Doctors in all areas of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and advanced laparoscopic surgical skills. Dr Nawaz has a particular interest in high risk pregnancy management, and runs several antenatal clinics at the public hospital where he cares for obstetric patients, and continues to train junior Doctors. For his private Obstetrics patients, Dr Nawaz delivers at both Nepean Hospital, and Nepean Private Hospital.

In 2023 Dr Nawaz was awarded his Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

Dr Nawaz lives locally to the Penrith area with his young family,  and he is passionate about providing outstanding care in all areas of Obstetrics’ and Gynaecology to the women of Western Sydney. Since joining our Practice as a full Associate early in 2023, Dr Nawaz has become a very popular and valued member of our team. His fun, witty sense of humour keeps us all entertained on a daily basis, and his caring and friendly nature is also very popular with his patients.
